"Billy" Sunday , the baseball evangelist, has succeeded in turning the live in little city of Boone upside down. On a recent Sunday a dramatic performance was billed for a Sunday afternoon matinee there, but Sunday objected to any counter attractions to his meeting which were in progress, and at the head of several hundred singing and shouting religious enthusiasts he marched to the front of the opera house and demanded that the opera house be kept closed and the performance not allowed to go on. The mayor was hunted up and finally to quiet the disturbance he ordered the manager not to open up and the crowd returned to their meeting place to continue their worship, while those that were gathered to attend the performance at the opera house went sway muttering maledictions against the "religious fanatics" as they termed them for beating them out of their afternoon's entertainment.
