BILLY SUNDAY VERY ILL. Noted Evangelist Suffers Surgical Op eration at Mason City. Mason City Feb. 4. Taken suddenly ill while delivering an impassioned sermon in the.pulpit on Wednesday morning, "Billy" Sunday the noted ex-baseball evangelist, who Is in the midst of one of the greatest revivals this city has ever seen, was compelled to undergo a dangerous surgical operation Thursday at his hotel and is now recovering from the effects of the opiate. While Mr. Sunday is still very sick he is improving as well as could be expected under the circumstances. He hopes to continue his meetings which have necessarily been postponed within a few days, and will enter on his work with renewed energy.
