Evangelist Sunday Tells People the Unvarnished Truth

Not all the papers were knocking the Sunday meetings, by any means. Here is one from the Slayton Gazette of the other kind: There is a great deal said derogato­ ry to Evangelist Sunday, but he tells people the unvarnished truth, even if it is a little slangy. Men object to his rough language on the platform who greatly enjoy far wurse language everywhere else. The fact of the matter is that it is to his plain truths they object. There may be ground for their ob­ jection to "him on the score of money.
