FLEE FROM BILLY SUNDAY. Gamblers of Muscatine Quit Because of Ills Campaign. Muscatine, Io., Oct. 14. Special: Fearing Billy Sunday, evangelist, would receive all the credit for putting them out of business with his campaign in this city the gamblers of Muscatine closed their doors Saturday evening and have decided to remain inactive for an indefinite period. The police stated there would be no gambling house in the city for some time at least. According to the statement made by the gamblers the clubs came to an agreement to cheat Sunday out of the glory of running them out of business. It is rumored that other resorts will follow the same plan.
