Keokuk Gets Legal Saloon. Keokuk, Jan. 26.—At last Keokuk has a legally authorized saloon. The board of supervisors of Lee county after canvassing the signatures to a petition asking permission for Simon Vogel to operate a saloon here under the provisions of the mulct law, found that there was the requisite number of signers and the privilege was granted. It is not known what course the other forty saloonkeepers will adopt but from the present outlook it appears that unless they go and do likewise there will be considerable fun here in the very near future, as the spirit of "Billy" Sunday seems to be marching an in Keokuk and the people are demanding law enforcement.
